The Perliwool Termic mortar is a dry-base product, composed of perlite, mineral wool and dry and inorganic binders. Its formula gives it excellent mechanical, thermo-resistant and sound properties, and it is especially suitable for thermal insulation, absorption and soundproofing.
Perliwool Termic does not incorporate plaster, cast or lime. It does not incorporate any toxic component or pathogen, and is free of asbestos.
This mortar has very low thermal conductivity, λ= 0.050 W/mK and sound absorption of up to αw=1.
Perliwool Thermic is applied dry by means of a pneumatic spraying machine. To be able to make the application we will have to prepare the surface and put mesh in place if necessary.
To prepare the surface we must check that the support is dry and free of grease, dust and dirt; if the support does not offer sufficient adhesion it is recommended to put mesh in place. The use of mesh is also recommended when applying the mortar on wood and concrete (in some cases). Afterwards, we will apply it on the surface in 10/15mm coats until the necessary thickness is achieved.
The application temperature must be between 3 and 30 °C; and the substrate temperature during application must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
The Perliwool Termic mortar has a rough finish (it can be smoothed if necessary) and is greyish white or greenish grey in colour (it can be painted with compatible enamels).
