In order to meet the requirements of the\u00a0<strong>CTE<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(Spanish Technical Building Code<\/em>) and, more specifically, the\u00a0<strong>RSCIEI<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(Spanish Fire Safety Regulations for Industrial Establishments<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>When a\u00a0<strong>partition wall<\/strong>\u00a0or a\u00a0<strong>partitioning<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>construction element\u00a0<\/strong>in fire compartments is connected to the roof,<strong>\u00a0the fire resistance of <\/strong>the roof shall<strong>\u00a0be at least that required of the construction element<\/strong>, in a strip whose width is equal to 1 m. This strip can be:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"puntos\">\n<li><strong>Integrated into the roof itself<\/strong>, provided that the strip remaining in place after the collapse of the non-resistant parts of the roof can be justified.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixed to the roof structure<\/strong>, when it has at least the same fire resistance as the resistance required for the strip.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Formed by a 1 metre-wide barrier that justifies the required fire resistance<\/strong>, and which is located below the roof fixed to the partition wall.
